ARGE Meet & Greet 2023

With a welcome by Michael Kalinowski and Wolfgang Krafczyk , ARGE’s annual Meet & Greet 2023 started into the next round last week Wednesday. Markus Paquée presented & showed us through active exercises how mental strength leads to more success and what business and sports have in common.
After that till late in the evening, it was then: Mediterranean BBQ, drinks & lots of networking. 🍹

Cloud Security – Training at IP Systems

The members of our IT Networks & Security team, together with one of our customers, successfully completed a multi-day in-house training course on the subject of the cloud held by an information security trainer. In addition to an introductory overview of current cloud concepts and technologies, the focus was on the secure operation of cloud infrastructures, both from an organizational and technical perspective.

In particular, aspects such as responsibilities, risk assessments, IT service management in the cloud, identity management, encryption, access control and penetration tests were considered. Finally, our employees were given a practical insight into the administration of the cloud solutions Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. By successfully completing the very informative training, we have further deepened our competencies in the area of information security in the cloud and are now in an even better position to optimally support our customers in this context.

At IP Systems constant education is an important aspect!

A successful employee meeting with almost the entire staff and a lot of input lies behind us. On 26.04.2023 we have met in Cologne. An experienced trainer gave us an intensive insight into the topic of project management. He not only gave us an understanding of the basics and refreshed our knowledge, but also compared different project management methods and enriched them with practical examples. The focus was on the differences between agile and classic project management.
The successful day was rounded off by many personal discussions among the employees. We are looking forward to the next event in the second half of the year.

Professional services network & IT security – modernising WLAN infrastruktur

March 2023
IP Systems is supporting a public broadcaster in modernizing its enterprise-wide WLAN infrastructure. This includes both the central back-end infrastructure and a large proportion of the WLAN access points distributed throughout the offices. As part of this process, the infrastructure is also segmented into a separate network protection zone.
In this project, IP Systems provides the technical project manager, who has been supporting the WLAN infrastructure at this client for many years, as well as another network engineer.

Professional services network & IT security – introducing network segmentation

To increase IT security, IP Systems is helping a public broadcaster segment its IT systems, applications and digital information into different protection needs-based, company-wide protection zones.
IP Systems provides the technical project manager as well as the network and IT security engineers in this project.
As part of this project, our employees have currently migrated another important basic service to its own protected zone, while at the same time safeguarding production operations.

IP Systems introduces new gigabit product at mobile communications operator

December 2022
IP Systems successfully supported a well-known mobile network operator in the product and technology launch of a new Gigabit product. Thanks to the new product, it is possible to realize 2.5 million new customer connections via fiber optics. To this end, we took over the technical program management of various individual projects and ensured that the new products were implemented adequately under time-critical conditions. In the projects, working methods from classic and agile project management were combined and supplemented by our many years of experience in the management of (large-scale) projects. IP Systems is helping a public broadcaster to enhance its IT security through the segmentation of its IT systems, applications and digital information into different company-wide protection zones. IP Systems provides the technical project manager as well as the network and IT security engineers in this project. In this context, our employees have now successfully migrated the IT systems of a first studio and direction complex of the TV production into its own protection zone, as well as simultaneously securing production and broadcasting operations.
A further project milestone was achieved here.

Professional services data network – introduction of network access control (NAC)

June/July 2022
IP Systems is supporting a public broadcaster in the introduction of Network Access Control (NAC) to enhance its IT security. NAC will be used to monitor the wired network access of 25,000 end devices on the national company network and ensure that only legitimate devices have access to the data network, applications and digital information.

IP Systems provides the technical project manager and network architect in this project.

Following successful completion of the design and conception phase, establishment of the central infrastructure and implementation of a proof of concept, our employees are currently starting to roll out this technology at the central company campus.

Successful certification of IP Systems

We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our consulting services and our internal processes and to adapt them to the constantly changing market environment. Thus, we have successfully completed several re-certifications in recent months.
